Energy Project Developer

High Desert Lumber LLC is interested in working with a developer of alternative energy and/or recycling projects that can beneficially use approximately 100,000 bone dry tons per year of wood chips that are generated at its lumber processing facility in Alturas, Modoc County, California. Besides the wood chip supply, HDL can offer up to 100 acres of property to host the project. Biochar projects would be preferred, but any technology that can operate profitably on a long-term basis will be considered. The developer should be able to supply the technology and the finance for the project. Biochar projects would be preferred, but any technology that can profitably utilize the wood chip supply and property is encouraged to contact us for consideration. HDL is open to a variety of joint venture and ownership structures and other means of sharing revenues as well as construction and operating responsibilities.

Solar Project Developer

High Desert Lumber LLC is interested in working with a developer of solar -energy projects to develop a solar array at its lumber processing facility in Alturas, Modoc County, California. HDL’s site includes roof top spacee adequate to hold solar panels capable of generating 1 MW of power. Additionally, HDL can offer up to 100 acres of property to host a solar farm. The developer should be able to supply the technology and the finance for the project. The project should qualify for 40% ITC or PTC tax credits. HDL is interested in buying approximately 1 MW of pwer for use in its operatons under a long-term power purchase agreement and will work with local government and utility officials to sell excess power. HDL is open to a variety of joint venture and ownership structures and other means of sharing revenues as well as construction and operating responsibilities.
